| Legal Advisor Position Legal Advisor, Office of General Counsel Job description Provide legal counsel to the Management, Businesses and Staff Groups of the company Supporting Growth General commercial counseling Legal opinions Risk analysis Finding solutions Business process Transaction counseling and drafting Legal opinions Risk analysis Finding solutions Drafting Negotiating Sourcing, sales, M&A Compliance (Regulatory and Business Conduct) Business Conduct (Anti-bribery, US export controls) Regulatory (Competition, EHS, Customs, HR, Privacy) Support regulatory staff organizations Support development of business process Support Government Affairs Dispute Resolution Support company’s claims; defend company’s interests Represent the company in government investigations Manage litigation Corporate Governance Registrations Documentation Meetings Provide legal training, as appropriate Coordinate with company’s Office of General Counsel and Office of Intellectual Property Counsel Manage outside counsel, as needed Member of company Gulf Management Operating Committee Maintain relations with local bar association Qualifications Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work with senior management of the company Ability to provide responsive, business-oriented solutions Uncompromising ethical character 5 - 8 years appropriate experience, in a law firm or an international company in the Region. Legal degree. An LLM or equivalent is desirable. Fluent in English; ability in French and Arabic desirable. Reports to General Counsel Managing Director | |
