Financial Accountant


The Financial Accountant will support the Business Reporting Team to effectively manage the Group's accounting and reporting function and ensure that the reporting function provides timely and efficient support to the business.

Position Description includes (but not limited to) -

- Upload regular account batches from in-country accounting teams.

- Accurately process in-country accounts and bank reconciliations.

- Review and check off project bank reconciliations.

- Implement controls and check for data integrity.

- Ensure data integrity is maintained.

- Assist in preparation of Project, Business Unit and Corporate Management reports.

- Ensure reports are accurate and timely.

- Identify and prioritise financial tasks.

- Identify and make recommendations to systems and procedures requiring improvements.

- Identify and notify breaches of data integrity checks and systems.

- Work collaboratively as part of a flexible team.

- Build solid relationships with client groups.

- Build relationships with the wider finance team.

- Respond to client requests in a timely manner.

SELECTION CRITERIA;

- Key Competencies
- Degree in Accounting plus an Accounting qualification recognised by a major Accounting body.
- Established experience in an accounting role.
- Experience in either audit or managing financial controls is required.
- Experience with either cashbooks and bank reconciliations.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Well developed and highly effective organisational skills.
- Strong accounting, business and administration skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and balance or prioritise several competing projects at the same time.
- Demonstrated people skills with flexible and collaborative personal style.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office - Excel and Word.
