| Marine Design - Specialist (Engineer):- Education: Master of Science Degree in Marine Engineering or Coastal Hydraulics Experience: Minimum 10 years experience Skills set · Thinking Skills - strategic thinking ability, rational decision making ability and Innovation in planning; · Leadership Skills – Vision for the organization, teaming with others for common objectives, leading others to achieve objectives; · Communication Skills – high presentation skills, interpersonal skills for influencing/negotiating; · Management Skills – developing and executing plans, financial management, and understanding of interpersonal relationships in teams within the organization to drive teams; · Technology Management, up to date knowledge thorough continuous participation of Continuum Professional Development Programs (CPD.) Responsibility: · Oversee the works of the Design Section of the Maritime Projects department for Designing of Infrastructure, facilities and institutions required for an implementation of a Public Water Transport system for Dubai; · Assist other departments within the Marine Agency for strategic decision making regards to implementation of new schemes, operational procedures, policies, and standards which require specialist maritime and construction management advice; · Liaise with major property developers in Dubai for strategic planning of water transport services to new developments and review their water transport planning strategies for the interest of RTA; · Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and if necessary revise the objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions to fulfill strategic objectives; · Promote the organization and its projects through publishing written articles in journals and personal appearances at technical conferences representing Maritime Projects Department; · Represent the Maritime Projects Department at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions. · Other duties as assigned by Design manager. | |
