KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER (FOOD & BEVERAGE)

Job Purpose

⇨ To be the primary point of contact, co-ordinating all sales, marketing and beer
activity ultimately creating profitable growth for both the customer and our client.

Principal Accountabilities

To ensure Customer Business Plans are in place at all accounts, and

⇨ Sales strategies are implemental to maximise product sales and achieve volume, revenue, investment, margins and budget.
⇨ To develop SMARTARS objectives of account level during incremental profit for the organization.
⇨ To achieve monthly objectives set by the Sales Manager.
⇨ To advise accounts on outlet beer listings based on the category and channel.
⇨ To provide beer category training for all F&B staff maximising company market share.
⇨ Keep abreast of competitor products, promotions and category / customer.
⇨ Share to anticipate any macro / micro market developments and communicate with our client.
⇨ Build strong and on-going business relationships across all accounts at all levels.
⇨ Efficiently manage the account investment across all accounts at all levels.
⇨ To implement and execute an outlet journey plan.
⇨ To achieve key brand volumes / objectives / strategies set and communicated by the marketing team on a quarterly basis.
⇨ To provide accurate forecasts for all key product lines by customer, to avoid out-of-stock scenarios.
⇨ Liaise with technical support supplying customers to ensure that draught equipment and fridges are installed and maintained at an optional level.


Job Context (optional)

The primary focus of this role will be to develop and implement business plans for key customers for the beer portfolio. This will include product promotions within the on-trade accounts in order to maximize brand awareness and bottom line growth. The role requires building long term relationships through delivery of added value services and innovation. An in-depth understanding of a wide range of Food and Beverage operations is required due to the large customer base, acquired through appropriate qualification / training is a pre-requisite for success in this role.


Working Relationships

Internal: General Manager, Management Team, Sales & Marketing Team
Beverage equipment / technical teams, Inventory & Pricing Team

External: Customer base of 25 Accounts; MMI Telesales


Knowledge Skills & Experience

⇨ Graduate with additional qualification / experience in Marketing / Sales.
⇨ Prior work experience of at least 4 years preferably within the beverages industry.
⇨ Key Account Management skills.
⇨ Strong financial / commercial acumen.
