| Part Time English Teacher JOB PURPOSE To deliver English training as set out by the TG English training programme and to support the English Senior Trainer to further enhance the English training programme. In addition carry out English placement tests, recording and advising FM Operations of the results and scheduling, developing lesson plans and training site staff to improve their English proficiency .Test and record results, advising FM Operations of the recommended next steps. Responsibilities/Accountabilities • To teach all Levels of English from Beginner to Advanced. • Preparation of material for and conduct lessons agreed with the Senior Trainer. • Development of course material with advice from and support of colleagues. • Marking and Assessment of student work –return of marks to Operations and English departments. • Writing of end of course reports, providing course feedback and recording results. • Appropriate student consultation. • Attendance at associated meetings of the department (minimum 1 per month) • Keep abreast of developments in the EFL /SLA world. • Undertake at least 2 peer observations per year and allow yourself to be observed. • Ensure fair treatment and a safe environment within the classroom. Working Relationships • Liaise with the Senior English Trainer and other colleagues • Liaise with FM Operations teams • Liaise with students during English courses Core Competencies • Fluency in English, other languages advantageous • Ability to communicate at all levels • Approachable attitude to staff at all levels • Ability to set an example • Ability to forward plan and multi task • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating • Honest and has integrity • Team player Candidates must meet the following criteria in order to apply; • IT Literate –Word and Excel minimum • Diploma / Bachelors Degree plus 1 to 3 years experience • Must be able to read , write and speak English | |
