| Senior Graphic Designer SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS / GRAPHIC DESIGNER IN DUBAI Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant agency or studio experience. We need a designer who combines a consistent creative spark with strong communication and people skills: someone who can work effectively with our a wide range of clientele fields and briefs. The senior communications designer will work closely with the creative director and account director to design to develop multiple projects including brand programs, print collateral, and promotional, editorial, and interactive assignments. Within a collaborative studio, the senior communications designer will direct the design, development, and execution of projects, and lead and mentor the other designers on the team. Thriving and ensuring that others thrive is a conscious goal for the position and for the group’s leadership as a whole. The candidate should arrive with a proven record of success in producing work of very high quality in a team setting. Relevant projects include Advertising campaigns, Above and below the line visual concepts, brand identity projects, editorial design, typographical implementations, information graphics and print/digital communications. Being able to move with the times and maintain a point of view about quality, creativity and effectiveness is a plus. Primary Responsibilities: • Ensure the highest standards of creativity are maintained and projects are completed to their brief and on time. • Ensure design concepts are consistent with brand strategy and communications goals • Collaborate with the creative director, account director, and creative staff to create strategic design solutions • Initiate, refine and develop all aspects of required design concepts • Oversee the work of other designers on the team and coordinate with the project management and writing teams • Prepare materials for client presentations and internal meetings • Manage schedules and project deliverables with the project manager and other team members. • Present design strategy or rational for initiated ideas and concepts to senior management. • Participate in communications strategy and marketing meetings • Work with production vendors to ensure integrity of design and quality of final deliverables. Knowledge and Experience: • Extensive knowledge of graphic design, typography, design systems, grid structures, layout principles, color theory and information design. • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear and compelling visual solutions. • Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills. • Proven experience in solving complex design problems. • Demonstrable skills across a broad range of media—both print and web. • Experience in client contact, customer satisfaction and managing other designers. • Mastery of the latest design tools including Adobe’s Creative Suite. • Strong interpersonal capabilities. • Good time management skills. • Ability to adhere to project budgets and deadlines. • Excellent design and typography skills. • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments for yourself and others on the team. • Ability to work effectively with in-house clients to ensure their satisfaction with the process and products. • Minimum of 3 years of design experience in a design, branding or in-house studio. • Degree in Graphic Design (B.F.A., M.F.A., or equivalent). | |
