| Trade and Policy Advisor 1.. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Description of Roles & Responsibilities 1. Prepare trade and policy analysis reports of the country of engagement 2. Review zone laws, policy regimes, business incentives, and recommend on its limitations, in particular with respect to: Investment Promotion Investment Facilitation Investment Climate Their ability to address the needs of specific business sectors eg: i. Mainly the development of zones and also ii. Sectors targeted in the development of Zones 3. Develop business models, recommend on management structures and processes for Special Zone Authorities / Agencies, with special attention to: Defining the regulatory and business facilitation functions of the authorities Setting up of one stop shop Designing facilitation services to be offered by the One Stop Shop Preparing MoUs between the One stop shop and Government Authorities for both: i. the offering of facilitation services ii. the regulatory functions of the Authority 4. Developing strategies to ensure that the Authority is perceived as a major stakeholder in investment promotion and facilitation in the country 5. Draft special zone legislation and any supporting documentation required in the project development lifecycle, 2. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: a. Qualifications -Political s, International Relations, LLM, or related field -Masters level or equivalent work experience b. Experience - 6 yrs experience minimum experience working on policy and related - International experience in project management is a plus, - Understanding of industry c. Skills - Use of Computer Software - Microsoft Project - Microsoft Office - Language skills - English – Fluent in Written & Oral (Essential) d. Other requirements - willing to travel - Proactive team player - Resourceful | |
